  2. Welcome to HyperTranscribe 1.0 beta 1

  4. Thank you for helping to test HyperTranscribe 1.0.
  5.  
  6. This version of HyperTranscribe is being made available for
  7. testing purposes only, and should not be distributed to any
  8. third party without express written permission from
  9. ResearchWare, Inc.
  10.  
  11. This testing version will expire on July 31, 2004.  We
  12. should deliver Beta 2 long before then, so this expiration
  13. should not affect your work.  When new builds of the
  14. software become available just uninstall the old version
  15. and then install the new one and you should be able to keep
  16. working without interruption.

  19. KNOWN ISSUES
  20. This beta test version has most of its features in place,
  21. with just enough of an early draft of the documentation to
  22. get you started.
  23.  
  24. Features still being developed include:
  25. - Printing
  26. - Find and Replace
  27. - Registration
  28. - Application and documents icons are temporary and will
  29.   be replaced when final artwork is available
  30. - The application image in the About box and Welcome 
  31.   screen is temporary and will be replaced
  32.  
  33. All other features should be functional in this build.

  36. GETTING STARTED
  37. To start using HyperTranscribe install the program and
  38. launch it, then refer to the Help system provided within
  39. the program, accessible from the Help menu.

  43. By participating in this beta testing program you agree to
  44. treat all information about the product not otherwise
  45. publicly disclosed by ResearchWare, Inc. as proprietary and
  46. confidential, and agree not to disclose any information
  47. about the product, its features, or it marketing to any
  48. third party without prior written consent from
  49. ResearchWare, Inc.

  53. During this beta testing period please send all bug
  54. reports, suggestions, and feature requests to:

  60. - Operating system version
  61. - Amount of memory installed
  62. - Computer model
  63. - Description of the problem
  64. - List of steps needed to reproduce the problem

  66. The more detailed your report, the faster we can fix it and
  67. get you a fresh build which addresses it.
